Privacy Policy for the paged-website

The following content is a translation of the „Datenschutzerklärung der paged-Webseite“, and not legally binding. Please see the German original for the official text.

  1. General
    • The following data protection declaration applies to the use of the paged website and the services offered via this website. We inform you in accordance with Art. 12 ff. DSGVO about how we handle your personal data when you use our services. In particular, we explain which data we collect and what we use it for. In addition, we inform you about the legal basis on which your personal data is processed and for what purpose.
    • The responsible party in the sense of the German Data Protection Regulation ("DSGVO"), the German Federal Data Protection Act ("BDSG"), and other data protection regulations is
      • paged
      • Aachenerstraße 545, 50933 Cologne
      • hello@paged.ai
      • hereinafter referred to as the "responsible party" or "we".
  2. Automated data collection and processing by the browser
    1. The server automatically and temporarily collects information in the server log files, which are transmitted by the browser, unless this has been disabled by you:
      • IP address of the requesting connection (for IPv4 addresses, the last 16 bits are removed; for IPv6 addresses, the last 32 bits are removed)
      • IP address of the requesting computer
      • Type of event
      • file request of the client
      • the http response code
      • the Internet page from which you are visiting us (referrer URL),
      • date, time and duration of the server request
      • browser type and version
      • type of terminal device and operating system used by the requesting computer
    2. The storage of server log files is necessary for technical reasons to provide a functional website and to ensure system security. This also applies to the storage of your IP address, which necessarily takes place and, under further conditions, can at least theoretically enable an assignment to your person. Beyond the aforementioned purposes, we use server log files exclusively for the needs-based design and optimization of our Internet offering purely statistically and without inference to your person. A personal evaluation of the server log files does not take place. These data can not be assigned to specific persons by the provider at any time. A combination of this data with other data sources is not made. The access data collected in the course of using our website is only stored for the period of time for which this data is required to achieve the above-mentioned purposes. Your IP address is stored on our web server for a maximum of 7 days for IT security purposes.
    3. Insofar as you visit our website in order to obtain information about our range of products and services or to use them, the basis for the temporary storage and processing of the server log files is Art. 6 para. 1 p. 1 lit. b DSGVO, which permits the processing of data for the performance of a contract or for the implementation of pre-contractual measures. In addition, Art. 6 para. 1 p. 1 lit. f DSGVO serves as the legal basis for the temporary storage of technical access data. Our legitimate interest here is to be able to provide you with a technically functioning and user-friendly website and to ensure the security of our systems.
    4. You are not obliged to disclose personal data. Without your personal data, however, it is not possible for you to access this website.
  3. Data collection and processing of voluntarily provided data
    • If you send us inquiries via the contact form or via one of the specified contact options, your message including the contact data you provided there will be stored and processed accordingly for the purpose of processing and answering the inquiry as well as for the case of follow-up questions. We do not pass this data on to third parties unless this is necessary in the context of processing and answering your contact request or you have given us your corresponding consent.
    • If you contact us within the framework of an existing contractual relationship or contact us in advance for information about our range of services or our other services, the data and information you provide will be processed for the purpose of processing and responding to your contact request in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 p. 1 lit. b DSGVO, and otherwise to protect our legitimate interests in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1. p. 1 lit. f DSGVO for the proper response to customer/contact inquiries.
    • The data you enter in the contact form will remain with us until the purpose for data storage/processing ceases to apply (e.g. after processing of your inquiry has been completed). Mandatory legal provisions - in particular retention periods - remain unaffected.
  4. Automated decision-making including profiling
    • Automated decisions in individual cases including profiling to bring about such a decision pursuant to Art. 22 (1), (4) DS-GVO do not take place.
  5. Duration of storage
    • Unless otherwise specified, we initially process and store your personal data for the duration for which the respective purpose of use requires corresponding storage. If applicable, this also includes the periods of the initiation of a contract and the processing of a contract. On this basis, personal data is regularly deleted as part of the fulfillment of our contractual and/or legal obligations, unless its temporary further processing is required for the following purposes:
      • Fulfillment of legal retention obligations, which result, for example, from the German Commercial Code (§§ 238, 257 para. 4 HGB) and the German Fiscal Code (§147 para. 3, 4 AO). The periods specified there for retention or documentation are up to ten years.
      • Preservation of evidence taking into account the statute of limitations. According to §§ 194 ff. BGB, these limitation periods can be up to 30 years, with the regular limitation period being three years.
  6. Your rights
    1. You are entitled to the following rights as a data subject under the legal requirements:
      • You can request information from us under the conditions of Art. 15 DSGVO as to whether we are processing data about you. If this is the case, you have the right to receive information about this data.
      • You can request information from us under the conditions of Art. 15 DSGVO as to whether we process data from you. If this is the case, you have the right to receive information about this data.
      • In the event that your data stored by us is incorrect or incomplete, you may request that this data be corrected and, if necessary, completed (Art. 16 DSGVO).
      • If the legal requirements are met, you can request the deletion (Art. 17 DSGVO) or blocking (Art. 18 DSGVO) of your data.
      • In the case of automatically processed data that we have received from you on the basis of your consent or a contract, you can assert the right to data portability (Art. 20 DSGVO). We will then send you your data in a machine-readable format. If you wish and if this is technically possible, we will transfer this data to a third party. All previously mentioned rights may be restricted or excluded by law in certain cases.
      • If you have consented to the processing of your data for a specific purpose, you may revoke your consent at any time. The revocation only takes effect for the future and therefore has no effect on the lawfulness of the processing that took place before the revocation.
    2. Revocation of consent
      • Insofar as you have given us consent to process personal data for specific purposes, the lawfulness of the processing is based on your consent. Consent that has been given can be revoked. You can address the revocation to hello@paged.ai. Please note that your revocation will only take effect for the future. Processing that took place before the revocation is not affected.
    3. Objection in the case of processing based on a legitimate interest
      • We also collect and process your personal data to protect our legitimate interests or the legitimate interests of third parties, insofar as the data processing is necessary to protect these legitimate interests. In these cases, you have the right to object to the processing for the future. You can address this to hello@paged.ai.
    4. Right of appeal to a supervisory authority
      • Under the conditions of Art. 77 DSGVO, you have the right to lodge a complaint with a competent supervisory authority. In particular, you may address a complaint to the supervisory authority responsible for us or any other competent supervisory authority. A list of data protection supervisory authorities and their contact details can be found in the following link: https://www.bfdi.bund.de/DE/Infothek/Anschriften_Links/anschriften_links-node.html.
